I read your articles every week, and I wonder how on earth you find all of those people to interview. For example, most of the articles I’m supposed to be writing for Scholastic require quotes from teachers in the younger grades. Sure, I know a couple of teachers, but it would be strange if all of my articles included names of teachers from Bais Yaakov of Baltimore, wouldn’t it? Or honestly, if they all worked for frum schools, that might also raise a few eyebrows 😉 So how on earth do you find random people who fit the guidelines of what you need? In my case, at least, the interview sources don’t need to be frum…but they should probably be different.

I’m not sure exactly what I’m asking. I guess I just don’t understand how, as a reporter, you manage to find different people for each article, and they’re all from different places…How on earth does that work?

Sorry if I’m taking liberties here in asking you this…I just don’t have anyone else to ask! Except for my editor, who assumes that I already know these things…
